This job

Inspecting lines and network assets

Powerline and network inspection is the recurring job of finding clearance, structure and asset defects before they trip or fail.

Matrice 4E with Zenmuse L3 covers corridor geometry and vegetation. Custom AI Models flag the defects you care about. SHARE 100M A10 and Pro V2 add high-resolution stills when the tower or fitting needs millimetre-class evidence.

Dock 3 is how you keep remote and continuous inspection without mobilising a crew every cycle.

What you are hunting

Clearance and structure need LiDAR. Repeatable defect cues need AI on a locked flight plan. Fittings, insulators and close hardware often need a high-resolution inspection camera, not another mapping pass.

Name the failure mode before you name the SKU.

How the day actually runs

Plan the corridor against airspace and stand-off. Fly Matrice 4E with Zenmuse L3 for geometry and vegetation. Run Custom AI Models on the imagery or derived products your programme requires.

When a tower or fitting needs closer stills, use SHARE 100M A10 or Pro V2 from the inspection lane. For routes that repeat on a schedule, Dock 3 keeps the mission remote and continuous.

This page is about corridor and network inspection programmes. Specialist UV/GPR stacks are off the public menu unless a job still needs them.

High-resolution SHARE cameras

SHARE 100M A10 and Pro V2 sit under Sensors → Inspection. Use them when the brief needs high-resolution stills on conductors, fittings or structures that LiDAR alone will not settle.

What gets handed over

Corridor LiDAR products, AI punch lists where scoped, and high-res stills for the assets that need them. MapShare or client portals when the asset team browses without CAD.

The common miss

Buying UV or gas kits for a clearance job, or flying once with no method lock so next month cannot compare. Or skipping Dock 3 when the same corridor should run remote and continuous.

DJI Matrice 4E

DJI Matrice 4E

RTK mapping aircraft for digital twins and survey.
  • Intelligent Operation Functions
  • Clear Vision and Stable Images
  • High-Efficiency Precision Mapping
  • Comprehensive Accessory Upgrades
The Matrice 4E is the professional mapping drone for survey teams, construction managers and environmental consultants who need centimetre-referenced aerial data. A mechanical shutter eliminates motion blur at survey speed, built-in RTK delivers precise positioning on every image, and DJI Pilot 2 generates a full mission quality report automatically when the flight lands. DJI Terra Pro and Care Enterprise Plus are included in the price. One battery is included in the box.

Questions for this job

Choosing a model

Why Matrice 4E and Zenmuse L3?
They cover corridor geometry and vegetation at the scale most network programmes need. We size the aircraft and LiDAR to the span length and the deliverable, not the brochure.
Where do SHARE inspection cameras fit?
When a tower, fitting or close asset needs high-resolution stills. A10 for close-range autofocus detail. Pro V2 for high-resolution medium-format stills. H30 when you need long-range zoom.
Do we still need Custom AI Models?
When the programme needs repeatable defect cues, yes. AI sits on top of a locked flight plan. It does not replace LiDAR geometry or high-res stills.

Workflow & data

Can we run this from Dock 3?
Yes for repeating corridor or yard circuits when the payload and airspace fit. Dock 3 is the path for remote continuous inspection without mobilising every cycle.

Buying & price

Can we trial before we buy?
Yes. Book a demo on a real corridor or a sample dataset review. We would rather prove the workflow than sell a kit that sits on a shelf.

In the field

Do we need CASA approvals?
Enterprise drone operations in Australia sit under CASA rules for the aircraft and the mission. We help you choose a lawful operating model for the corridor. That is separate from the sensor stack itself.
